When I was fourteen, I received the best birthday gift and Titan became my best friend. Now, eight years later, I'm fighting to save his life. What started as routine bloodwork revealed dangerously low platelets and a tick-borne disease. At times they believed Titan may have leukemia. After two emergency room visits, multiple medication changes, and countless labs, we finally received a referral to Tufts internal medicine specialists, we learned Titan likely has Lupus—a lifelong condition requiring constant monitoring and treatment.

The immune suppressants needed to manage his Lupus created new challenges. A hematoma burst on his leg, and because his immune system is compromised, it wouldn't heal. Traditional stitches failed. Just when I felt hopeless, an incredible surgeon referred us to a holistic practice where Titan now receives weekly red light therapy and ozone therapy. His leg is finally healing, but the journey is far from over.

Titan was there for me when I was eighteen and homeless—always patient, always loving. Now at 21, I'm determined to be there for him, but I've maxed out Care Credit and face $3,000 in upcoming specialist appointments, bloodwork, and ongoing treatments. Titan taught me what unconditional love means and what it’s like to have something you care about more than yourself. Now I'm humbly asking for help to give him the care he deserves and to get this sweet soul back to his happy go lucky life running around with friends.
