UPDATE:

Let's start with the good news-

All of the cats have been released from medical care and are doing well. They are anxious to get home with their humans.

Now for the not so good news-

Both Darwin and Pilot required extensive medical care from not only the carbon monoxide poisoning, but they also both developed corneal ulcers on their eyes from the extreme heat and soot in the air. The eyes are clearing up.

Now the bad news -

Darwin has been admitted BACK into the hospital with pneumonia and a fever. He is back on oxygen. He is in good hands and we are hoping for a speedy recovery.

And of course the saddest news - Camilla is still loved and missed like crazy💔

A freak electrical fire caused our home to catch fire with all of our pets trapped inside. Sadly, one has already succumbed to smoke inhalation injuries and had to be humanely euthanized. Two others are in serious and critical condition. All of our pets have required Medical Care to help mitigate the carbon dioxide poisoning they have all suffered. The house and its contents fall under our homeowners insurance, but our pets do not. The medical bills are escalating beyond our means. Any donation, no matter what amount, will help and be greatly appreciated. Pilot - the little adventure dog who survived who knows how long at truck stops until he found his forever home

Sofia - the mama kitty, got from a shelter and has just lived her life loving on everyone

Penelope and Jet - the bonded pair that came from a little rescue just being playful and loving everyone

Ducky ( not pictured) - recently just lost her baby and just trying to find comfort in her forever home

Camilla (not pictured) - the sweet sweet old girl that didn’t get to make it out of it. She lived her life loving the outdoor and being a truck dog with her dad on the road
