It has been over 10 years since Moloka'i has had a private practice veterinarian. Despite the wonderful work being done by nonprofits like the humane society, there is a dire need for directed and consistent veterinary care. With the high cost of living, and majority of residents under poverty line, this fund is directed to offset the cost of care for low-income as well as local Hawaiian families. Thousands of dollars have already been donated to support the physical and mental wellbeing of the animals of Moloka'i.
